Fish Scoop

This stealthy black ninja net has been bagging my trout since the end of last summer and will stick to it for as long as it's alive. I picked it up from Atkins Angling for a measly seventeen bucks with free shipping so it's certainly not out of anyones price range. I had been looking for a net to compete with the giant, discontinued and unavailable Snowbee Competition net by Simon Kidd for a long time and after a whole bunch of web surfing and shop browsing I came across this tool. Weighing in at 50cm x 40cm, with a 70cm reach, and being relatively lightweight it's perfect as a competition style net. The mesh is not too fine as to be adversely affected by fast flowing water and not big enough to allow fins and most flies to fall through. It's a deep pan style net with neoprene dipped "Aqua Dry" mesh so it won't fray to bits and hooks aren't easily caught in it, "Like". The frame is a solid aluminum unit housing the mesh internally and your paws grab an ergonomic rubber coated handle with a short bungee ending in a carabiner clip. It has a nice balance, feels good, and as far as I'm concerned, it's one of the better nets on the market at the moment. If you fish rivers, either for pleasure or especially competition, this should be high on your list.
